Hello, I'm Sarah and I am:
a Photographer.
an Urban Sketcher.
a Collage and Mixed Media Artist.
Photography came first with a Kodak when I was five. I'm going to spare you a long list of cameras, but I've loved and used both 35mm and 120mm film in a range of fancy and basic cameras. Digital cameras pushed film out of the way back in 2003, and I've had many loves - both compact and hefty and I've gone back to compact and portable with a fabulous Ricoh GR3 and an iPhone 16 Pro.
Urban Sketching started for me in around 2015 where I rediscovered my love of drawing which had been somewhat abandoned after my graphic design degree was done and dusted. I spend my time with friends sitting on the street all around the UK and abroad to record what is in front of me.
Collage and mixed media is a recent re-kindling of something I dabbled in many years ago and I'm having a ball collecting all sorts of papers, deconstructing old books and printing with a Gelli Plate and generally getting sticky, making a mess and having a great time.
When not indulging in my creative pastimes I am an Iyengar Yoga teacher in Manchester.
